Though he was originally given a 20-year sentence after he turned himself in for drug trafficking and possession of a firearm charges back in 2016, 03 Greedo could be out of prison earlier than expected, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's website. This would seem to be a vast improvement upon his original release date, which was slated to be May 31, 2038. Greedo is scheduled to become eligible for parole on September 19, 2020. The website currently shows that Greedo's projected release date is August 23, 2027.
Though he's been in prison since he began his sentence this past summer, 03 Greedo has still managed to release his debut studio album God Level(just prior to his incarceration), as well as a music video for "Fortnite" (just after his incarceration).
The 31-year-old rapper had been ticketed for the lengthy stint behind bars since he and a friend were pulled over with four pounds of methamphetamine and two stolen guns in the trunk. He had originally been facing at least five years (even with good behavior). This new development, should he actually be granted his parole, would seem to represent a dramatic improvement upon that as well.
