Chance the Rapper has dropped an informative and hilarious video delving deep into Chicago politics and what exactly an alderman does. The fourteen minute video, which is titled "Chicagoist TV Exclusive : Elderly Aldermen," breaks down Chicago's political system for viewers in hopes of encouraging young people to run for office and vote. Chicago will be holding general elections for mayor, city clerk, city treasurer, and city council on Tuesday, February 26.

"Chicagoist TV investigates the Chicago Aldermanic system," the description below the video reads. "Champ Bennett reports on what an alderman actually does, what it takes to become one and the obstacles that prevent young people from running for office."

The clip, which also features Hannibal Buress, follows news of Chance purchasing the local Chicago news publication Chicagoist back in July. Chance made the announcement on his track "I Might Need Security," rapping "I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist bitches outta business."

"I’m extremely excited to be continuing the work of the Chicagoist, an integral local platform for Chicago news, events and entertainment,” Chance previously said about the purchase. “WNYC’s commitment to finding homes for the -ist brands, including Chicagoist, was an essential part of continuing the legacy and integrity of the site. I look forward to re-launching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content."

It’s official, @ChancetheRapper has acquired the @Chicagoist from WNYC. Hear it from him in his new song “I Might Need Security.” https://t.co/dIDLXENszk

In related-news, Chance has endorsed Amara Enyia for mayor of Chicago.

.@chancetherapper says he supports @AmaraEnyia because she is an activist. Enyia adds “you would be hard pressed” to find someone with the depth and breadth of her experience. He also says they support people “who are at the bottom economically.” pic.twitter.com/ChBLLqX61T

On the music side of things, just last night, Chance dropped off two new songs: "The Man Who Has Everything" and "My Own Thing" featuring Joey Purp.
