T.I. joined Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Tuesday to drop his Victoria Monét-featuring single, “The Amazing Mr. Fuck Up.” The song is the follow up to T.I.’s latest record “Jefe,” with Meek Mill.

T.I. is readying to drop his 10th studio album, Dime Trap, on Friday. Speaking with Lowe, Tip revealed that on the project, he opens up about his life as a husband. “[This is] the first time I musically addressed some of the challenges and transgressions that I have had as a husband,” he said. “I’ve always kind of shied away from even speaking on those types of topics in my music. I felt like this is a time where the music is dope. I just felt that I had to lay it out, I had to put my cards face up on the table."

T.I. shared some of the artists he’s been keeping an eye on, who aren’t “necessarily [on] my album or the people who are associated with my album,” including Teyana Taylor, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Gunna, H.E.R., 6lack, and Daniel Caesar.

T.I. also addressed his relationship with trap music, saying, “Let's say if I was an alcoholic and spent 12 years of my life drinking day in, day out, and I've been fighting addiction. Finally realized I was an alcoholic, went through 12 step program, started to go to meetings and so and so forth. And now it’s been 15 years since I've been clean. Even though I hadn’t had a drink in 15 years, I can still tell you in great specific details of how it feels to be drunk, how liquor tastes and how it affected my life. I can lay it out to you in a way you’d understand and I can make it very vivid. And I think that is the same way I feel about trap music.”
