Cops attempted to pull over a car in Cowetta County on Thursday. The New York City rapper was riding in the backseat of the car with three other people. However, the Sheriff’s Department reports that the car did not stop and they gave chase. The car subsequently struck a deputy’s vehicle and was stopped.
After a search, police reportedly found marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges, THC oil, two loaded pistols, and cash. Jones called the last item “just petty cash.” One of the pistols was apparently stolen. No one in the group claimed ownership of the items, although Jones said he has a prescription for the oxycodone and Percocet. Jones also told the cops he instructed the driver to pull over, but she was “incoherent.”
Jones has been charged with possession of the stolen gun, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of narcotics, all of which are felonies. He was also slapped with a misdemeanor for the prescription pills being out of their original container.
Complex has reached out to Jim Jones' rep for comment.
Last month, Jones was caught on video in a massive brawl outside a club in Springfield, Massachusetts. It all started with Jones taking photos with some fans before a group of unidentified men surround the rapper and his security. The situation escalated, and police were eventually called.
As far as music goes, Dipset are featured on the Uncle Drew soundtrack alongside ASAP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and more. You can stream the album now. Jones also dropped a solo project, Wasted Talent, back in April. "Still Dipset" featuring Juelz Santana was one of the project's singles.
