Rocky has made frequent visits to London in recent years and even told Vogue in 2017 that the city is his favorite place in the world. "It’s the best of all, and true to all its clichés," he explained. Shortly after the release of Testing, he threw a free show in London and brought out Skepta for a performance of "Praise the Lord."

During Rocky's Complex cover story interview, he explained that "Praise the Lord" holds sentimental value for him. "It takes me back in a place, my childhood or past life that I can’t even explain," he said. "It’s nostalgic."

Rocky also talked about working with Kanye West on the album in Berlin. "Kanye turned the hotel we were staying at into a Yeezy compound,” he said. “He was designing sneakers in one suite, making music in one suite, and I was making music in my suite. It was crazy. We shut down the whole hotel.” For what it's worth, Kanye doesn't appear on Testing through any official crediting, but it's safe to say some of his ideas made their way onto the project in one way or another.
