Directed by Daniel Malikyar, the new visual opens with Arthur singing in the rain, and soon cuts to a white room filled with people dressed in all white, seated at a table, arguing. Juicy J sits at the head of the table, dressed like the don in a white fur, suit with bowtie, and reflective sunglasses.
Toward the end, though, everything seems to be resolved when Marshmello—also clad in a white suit—enters the room and serves the people food. They all seem taken by him and shake each other’s hands as they break bread together.
“You Can Cry” is the fifth song Marshmello has released this year—it’s also the first time he’s worked with Juicy J and James Arthur.
