A cryptic new post from Rihanna has some fans guessing that new music is on the way. The photo features two TVs stacked on top of one another drenched in a red light. She captioned the image "didn’t they tell u?"—an allusion to the lyrics of her 2016 standout track "Needed Me" from her last album Anti.
The whole thing looks very music video-esque, but "Needed Me" already has a killer strip club video of its own, so it's definitely not that. With so many projects underway at once, there's really no telling what the multi-hypehenate singer/businesswoman could be hinting at this time. "The queen is finna give us something big," user vincentius_petros199 commented on the photo. There's also a new Instagram account titled 'savagexfenty,' that has fans wondering.
Some users are noting that the post appears to include Rihanna's world-renowned bosom, so this could be the first hint at her upcoming lingerie line, which should arguably be named Fenty Booty. News broke last month that TechStyle Fashion Group struck a deal with Rihanna to make the line. "Fenty lingerie or R9?," a user who goes by whatwouldgando asked.
In the meantime, Bad Gal RiRi was busy serving looks at the 2018 Coachella festival over the weekend and expanding her Fenty Beauty Empire. In between releasing her shimmery body glitter and taking her business to Saudi Arabia, it's hard to imagine that she has time to be recording and releasing new music.
We previously reported that Rihanna is indeed working on some new "secret projects" with the singer H.E.R. AKA Gaby Wilson. About a year ago, Robyn co-signed the young singer in a vibe-y, slow-motion Instagram post that featured H.E.R.’s single “Focus.” “That was insane,” H.E.R said in the interview last month, commenting on the post. “I was jumping up and down and I never do that. I was super excited.”
Whatever it is Rihanna is hinting at—lingerie, music, more body glitter—we're definitely here for it.
