With his new Bobby Tarantino II tape, Logic has become one of just 15 musical artists to simultaneously land 10 or more songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in a week.
Logic's Tarantino II cuts are scattered across positions spanning No. 29 and No. 98 on the latest ranking. The Marshmello-featuring "Everyday," the tape's third single, is currently besting the rest of the project.
Drake still holds the record for the most simultaneous Hot 100 titles, thanks to his April 2017 best of 24. Other artists to have earned the more-than-10 honor include The Beatles, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Lil Uzi Vert, and Kendrick Lamar.
With his Tarantino sequel currently resting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Logic took the time during a recent chat with Hard Knock TV to elaborate on the freedom of returning to his Bobby alter ego.
"I used to have this thing in my head where I was, like, I wanted to make music for the culture, and I was like, 'Man, what is the culture even?'" he said. "I don't even know what that means. I'm just gonna make music for people who like my music and spread a positive message and that's it. That's what I do." Making new Tarantino music, Logic added, is akin to making "conscious trap music."
Whichever side of Logic you prefer, you'll likely get even doses of them both on this summer's Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody Tour featuring NF and KYLE. It's not currently clear if we should expect additional Rick and Morty crossover in the months ahead.
Also on Tuesday, Logic confirmed his split from Jessica Andrea after two years of marriage. "It's very simple: It just didn't work out," Logic said, disputing tabloid reports. "There is no anger involved."
