Wednesday night, Fabolous reportedly turned himself in to authorities in Englewood, New Jersey for allegedly hitting Emily Bustamante.

Police were first contacted by Bustamante, TMZreported Thursday morning. She alleged that Fabolous, with whom she has two children, hit her. Though the report says Fabolous was arrested, he did not spend time in jail. Fabolous, with a lawyer in tow, was reportedly cited and given a court date. Additional information on the incident has not been made publicly available.

Fabolous' most recent social media activity prior to TMZ's report consisted of a collection of photos from a recent Atlantic City show, seen below. Emily Bustamante posted a selfie earlier that same day but has since deleted it.

Way back in 2012, Fabolous spoke about his on-again/off-again relationship with Emily B during an interview on the Combat Jack Show. "The thing about marriage is that, I believe in it but don’t believe in it," he said at the time. "I think sometimes people put on that ring and that paper, and it messes up a good thing, because now it's a different emphasis on your relationship."

Fab broached the topic again in 2015 in response to multiple Instagram comments speculating on his relationship. "Your two cents [aren’t] gonna make me get married or contribute to the wedding bills so stop commenting and go plan your wedding," he said.

In a subsequent update, TMZadded that Fabolous had been booked for aggravated assault and making a terroristic threat. On his Instagram Story, Fabolous seemingly alluded to the incident with a post that read "2018 tryna break my heart."
