Metro Boomin and MadeinTYO dropped a collaborative song called "MadeInBoomin" on Tuesday, reigniting rumors that a joint project of the same name is on the way.

Fans have been anticipating a MadeInBoomin project since MadeinTYO first announced its existence back in 2015 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. The new song seemed to reinforce rumors that the project is finally on the way, but both Metro and MadeinTYO have now shared public messages, stating that nothing is confirmed.

First, MadeinTYO tweeted Wednesday morning that the project has not yet been officially announced.

Metro reinforced his comment Thursday afternoon by sharing a note on Instagram, explaining that "any 'collab project' is fake news unless you hear it from me!!"

This message comes on the heels of similarly unsubstantiated rumors that Metro Boomin and Russ are working on a joint project together called RussBoomin. Metro has had an incredibly prolific and successful year in 2017, and more collaborative projects in the vein of his album with Big Sean are surely on the way, but it seems some of these rumors may just be wishful thinking on the part of hungry fans.

We may never see a full joint project from Metro Boomin and MadeinTYO, but you can listen to their collaborative song "MadeInBoomin" below.
