After debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last week, Lil Uzi Vert's Luv Is Rage 2 dropped to second with 73,000 units. Meanwhile, 17 by XXXTentacion took a slight dip as well, falling from No. 2 to No. 3 after amassing 51,000 units. The band responsible for leapfrogging over Lil Uzi and X this week to claim the top spot was LCD Soundsystem's latest project American Dream, which earned 85,000 equivalent album units with 81,000 coming from traditional album sales.

American Dream, the first studio album from LCD Soundsystem in seven years, is the group's first effort to hit No. 1. Their last project, This Is Happening, held the previous high mark when it peaked at No. 10.

The Billboard 200 chart has been a revolving door of sorts when it comes to the No. 1 spot. American Dream became the third album to sit atop the charts in many weeks. In late August, Damn by Kendrick Lamar returned to the top after a 13-week hiatus. Luv Is Rage 2 replaced Damn at No. 1 in its debut week. Now, it's apparently LCD Soundsystem's turn. If the trend continues, another artist will be sitting on the mountaintop next week.

While Luv Is Rage 2 and 17 experienced a slight decline in numbers, ASAP Mob's Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy dropped out of its No. 6 placement. Imagine Dragons' Evolve moves from No. 12 to No. 6.
