NXNE recently officially unveiled the final lineup for its Port Lands Festival, and festival-goers will have a lot to look forward to this June as the acts represent the best in rising and established talent from Canada and beyond our borders.
This is the second year since NXNE has added the Port Lands Festival to the overall festival which is now in its 23rd year. Joining headlining acts Post Malone; Tyler, The Creator and Passion Pit will be acts ranging from English rapper and singer Tinie Tempah; rapper and vocalist Amir Obe; and self-proclaimed "fat feminist" Lizzo, who's been having a bit of a breakout year in 2017 thus far. The Canadian talent on the lineup runs deep and includes includes indie band K.I.D.; future R&B/chill wave duo Beach Season; indie electro group Humans; and Montreal's alt-folk band Franklin Electric.
“Since our inception, NXNE has proudly built up the reputation of curating a festival that always includes a strong element of discovery,” said Michael Hollett, President and Managing Director of NXNE said in the lineup announcement. “With this year’s Port Lands lineup, we have brought together some of the biggest performers in the world as well as a fantastic group of artists who are about to be launched into the musical stratosphere.”
