Ever since Beyoncé dropped her LEMONADE album, speculation has been running wild to try and find the true identity of "Becky With the Good Hair." After the album came out, eyes turned to Rachel Roy, who coincidentally posted a photo on Instagram the same night with the caption, "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always." Naturally, this led a ton of people to think that Roy was the woman that possibly had an affair with Jay Z, but now Roy is outright denying that she is Becky. "I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that," she said in a statement to People. "There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors."
This message comes after the BeyHive went after Roy and her children on social media, leaving plenty of messages on all of their Instagram pages. Oddly enough, the Hive also went after cooking TV host Rachael Ray, in what may have been one of the funnier mistakes of the year. But now, Roy is strongly denying that she is Becky and is very upset at the bullying that has come as a result of the rumors. "I would hope that the media sees the real issue here – the issue of cyber bullying – and how it should not be tolerated by anyone," she said. So, ugh, who is Becky then?
