The United Nations General Assembly joined the rest of the thinking portion of this planet Thursday in giving the proverbial middle finger to Trump over his recent decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The General Assembly voted 128 to 9 to demand the reversal of the declaration, the New York Timesreported.

Britain, France, Germany, and Japan were among those who voted in favor of Thursday's resolution. Canada, Australia, and other allies abstained. Trump’s contested declaration on Dec. 6 effectively sabotaged decades of international dealings related to Jerusalem, furthering the isolation of the U.S. on the global stage. Experts have warned that the issue should only be settled in negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians, not by the U.S. In other words, Trump's about as geopolitically educated as the nearest toddler.

Prior to the vote, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley—who also knows next to nothing about geopolitical concerns—threatened other countries in a bizarre statement. "The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out for attack in this assembly," she said, according toCNN. "We will remember it when we are called upon to once again make the world's largest contribution to the United Nations, and so many countries come calling on us, as they so often do, to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit."

Shockingly, Trump hasn't tweeted about the vote. The neo-Nazi-sympathizer-in-chief's Twitter activity Thursday largely consisted of inane ramblings about "Fake News Media" and effusive praise of his swindling buddies at Fox News.
