Bernie Sanders wanted to start a revolution, but all he got was a lousy meme about being depressed and watching the first presidential debate alone at home Tuesday night. The senator from Vermont was of course not in on the live action for this debate, but that didn't keep him from piping up about the debate on Twitter—namely, this downer photo of him standing near the TV while the debate was getting started:
You can almost hear him sighing through the tweet.
Faster than Donald Trump could start interrupting Hillary Clinton, the photo of Sanders became a meme, partially poking fun at the failed Democratic contender, partially mocking the debate spectacle.
