There are likely easier ways to conceal your identity during a burglary.

However, it seems that one man thought his best option, in the moment, was to place a cardboard box over his head while he broke into a phone repair store in Miami Gardens, Florida early Saturday morning. NBC Miami reports that the man was apprehended after he made his way into Irepair Tech, where video surveillance shows him breaking open a glass case with a sharp object.

After shattering the case, the man started grabbing phones and placing them in his bag. The box remained on his head at the beginning, but then he pushed it too far off his head and it slipped, revealing his face.

The owner of Irepair Tech, Jeremias Berganza told the outlet that the robbery took place at around 4 a.m. local time on Saturday. Berganza saw the suspect’s face in the footage and tried to find out more information for himself in the plaza where his shop is. He asked other people if they saw the man from the video, and eventually figured out who he was. It seems the burglar was still at the same business plaza, drinking with his friends at a liquor store.

Berganza telephoned the police and the man, 33-year-old Claude Vincent Griffin was arrested. He was subsequently charged with grand theft, burglary, criminal mischief, cocaine possession, and resisting an officer without violence. Berganza said that Griffin stole $15,000 in total from him, $8,000 of which was cash and 18 iPhones.
