On his way out of Iowa, Ben Carson was pictured on an airplane with a bunch of enthusiastic supporters of President Donald Trump, while wearing a MAGA hat.
The former 2016 Republican presidential candidate was pictured alongside fellow members of Trump's team, who all made the trip to the Midwestern state. He's currently serving as the Trump administration's Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
"Iowa has so many pleasant memories," the surgeon told Local 5. "The people … they’re very special here in Iowa. People seem to be much more in tune with what’s going on in the country." He traveled to the state to stump for Trump's reelection campaign.
"I think it’s very important that the GOP recognizes that this is more than just a simple election," Carson continued. "We’re talking about ‘Do we want to continue the lifestyle that has characterized American greatness over the centuries, or do we want to switch to another system?'"
However, the picture turned into the perfect opportunity for people to clown Carson, especially during Black History Month:
