A guy broke into Wendy's, promptly hit the grill to craft himself a quick meal, then snagged a safe before ultimately being arrested. Shockingly, this all went down in Florida.

The Martin County sheriff's office, perWSET-TV, says Patrick Benson utilized either a "brick or large rock" to smash said Wendy's window after operating hours. Once inside, he's alleged to have made himself a hamburger, enjoyed his late-night dinner, then successfully exited with a safe. The safe, of course, was presumably full of money, not vintage Baconators.

Additionally, Benson is alleged to have hit another restaurant, again making off with some free food. He's also suspected of attempting to break into a gas station.

Initially, Martin County authorities were asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man, described as a "modern day Hamburglar" in a press release from police last week.

"The suspect has been successful at forcing his way into two restaurants cooking himself some dinner—then stealing what he can't consume," police said. "The suspect used a brick to smash in a door at the Wendy's on Jensen Beach Boulevard. Once in, he started the grill, ate and left the with safe. He also burglarized a restaurant in downtown Jensen Beach."

Benson, 34, now faces charges of burglary, grand theft, and attempted burglary.
