Another shooting happened in New Orleans just a little over a day after five people were shot dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a nursing home in Texas. CNN reports at least three people are dead while seven are injured in a shooting on Saturday night.

Police say there's a manhunt underway to find the two suspects believed to be behind the tragedy. They reportedly used a long rifle and a handgun to "indiscriminately" attack people in an area three miles away from the famed French Quarter, according to Police Chief Michael Harrison.

"This has to be personal," he continued, according to NBC News. "Firing indiscriminately into a crowd? Shooting 10 people? Killing three? That's personal, it doesn't get more personal and we take it personal, whoever did this, you should know that the law enforcement takes it personal and we’re coming for you."

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell also spoke about the tragedy and vowed to use "every resource necessary to ending this horror and seeing justice done."

"There is no place in New Orleans for this kind of violence. I speak for everyone in our city when I say we are disgusted, we are infuriated, and we have had more than enough." read her statement. "Three more lives—gone. It has to end. This happened near my neighborhood, on the edge of Broadmoor. It's unacceptable anywhere." Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has yet to make a official statement on the shooting.

Mass shootings have been common this summer. Last week, a Toronto gunman opened fire in the city, killing two and injuring 12. In late June, there were multiple fatalities as a gunman killed several journalists at Capital-Gazette in Maryland. And before that, one person was left dead in a shooting at a New Jersey Arts Festival. The Parkland high school shooting survivors are a few of many advocating for common-sense gun control laws, but they've yet to happen.
