Streetwear Sales COVID 19

The fashion world has had its own fair share of hurdles the past couple months because of the coronavirus. Many of your favorite streetwear designers and boutiques operate independently, therefore they will have a hard time affording the rent costs during this period. Many of them have closed their stores and are struggling to produce product to sell because various factories across the world are on hiatus.

Some outlets like Union Los Angeles and Notre have pivoted to online sales for the time being to make ends meet and not hold onto inventory. Sweden's Très Bien has taken a rather unique approach, keeping its two locations open virtually through Zoom meetings. Others like John Elliott and Awake NY have decided to hold sales and donate partial proceeds to local organizations aiding in relief of the ongoing crisis.

While we understand not everyone might have the means or desire to purchase new clothes right now, supporting independent and small businesses will be crucial for many of them to survive this rough patch. Anything helps, and without it the streetwear landscape has the potential to look drastically different when this is all said and done.

From web store discounts to special product launches, here is how some of your favorite brands and boutiques have responded to the COVID-19 crisis. Make sure to check back for updates to the list as we all continue to stay inside and monitor the situation.
