Following the success of the designers link up with Rapha, London-based Robyn Lynch has presented her latest collection which will be exclusively stocked at Browns.

Known for having sustainability at the core of her designs, Spring/ Summer 2022 combines a selection of supplementary fabrics, such as the nylons that are made from ocean waste and other biodegradable fibres as well deadstock peices from outdoor label Columbia

“I grew up wearing Columbia along with all of my friends, it was like our unofficial uniform,” she explained in an interview. “It was at that age before you could really do anything or go anywhere; all of our photos from those times feature a Columbia jacket. I wanted to continue working in the form of upcycling and tackling the issue of deadstock and when I started to think of what brand to work with next Columbia was my immediate choice”.

One notable piece from the collection is a hybrid parka made from upcycled Columbia ski trousers, which features the original waistband doubling as the jacket’s adjustable belt and fully functional, original pockets in the jacket lining. Additionally, nod’s to the designer’s Irish roots arrive via mismatched panelled shorts in the collection’s colour scheme of burgundy, grey and khaki, which has been chosen purposely to represent a stylised colour family of the Irish flag.

Another key piece in this season combines grey merino cable knitwear over khaki conscious nylon, creating a unique hybrid crewneck. Finally, SS22 is rounded out with bright yellow quilted bucket hats.

To present the collection, Lynch has also teamed up with director Spencer Young to create a short film that sees models wearing pieces from the collection, roaming around a surreal landscape of rocks and caves, which can be seen above.
