Mario’s boots have been made into a real pair of shoes by the folks at Red Wing.

One thing the world’s most famous plumber needs for an adventure is a good, solid pair of work boots. We unveil Mario's iconic boots at the @NintendoNYC store tomorrow 10am ET. #SuperMarioMovie

The one-of-a-kind pair of structurally accurate boots are notably being unveiled on March 10, i.e. a date known to fans of the Super Mario franchise as, fittingly, MAR10 Day. The prototype is the result of a team of shoemakers who worked tirelessly to bring “every on-screen pixel” into the real world, resulting in what stands as quite literally the only pair of tangible Mario boots in history.

The shoes were given a formal unveiling on Friday at the Nintendo flagship in New York. Below, see a behind-the-scenes clip detailing the shoes’ handcrafted creation.

Of course, this all plays into the larger rollout behind the Chris Pratt-led Super Mario Bros. Movie. Ahead of its April 5 theatrical rollout, the computer-animated take on revered Nintendo series was given its final trailer on Thursday. That same day, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots—alongside members of the film’s voice cast—tackled the Super Mario Bros. theme in a cappella form.

Joining Pratt in the film (which is not the first time Mario has gone cinematic) are Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, and more.
