C.P. Company is back with the latest installment from its ongoing Metropolis Series, informed by a personal and authentic concept inspired by an archived range curated by Moreno Ferrari—the label’s head of design at the time.
The fourth consecutive offering from the lineage features a selection of outerwear garments centred around the brand’s urban and industrial aesthetic. Taking its name from the original Metropolis Jacket, which came as part of the previous Urban Protection range, the collection hones in on popular CP silhouettes from the 2000s and elevates them for the needs of today.
Arguably the standout item is the original black Dynafil parka, which now arrives with a host of new highly-technical details. Other pieces, such as the brand’s overshirts, have been constructed from Flatt nylon, a woven, water-resistant woven fabric that is made during a high-pressure rolling process. Elsewhere, the Memri jacket has been designed using a densely woven polyester and nylon microfiber canvas that houses both a crease-retaining surface and natural water-repellent capabilities.
Tone-on-tone branding features throughout the collection, echoing the original ‘00s designs, while knitted modular hoods and pockets, and colours feature alongside subtle branding, reflecting the collection’s key city and urban exploratory purpose.
