The Most Anticipated Collaborations for the Rest of 2015

Kanye is a divisive figure at times—OK, always—but enough of this seeing his every move in the fashion world as a hotly anticipated event. His recent move over to adidas promises to be particularly fruitful—from putting up the most star-studded runway audience of all time, to releasing his second adidas shoe, the Yeezy Boost 350. Now, with the black Yeezy Boost 350 set to release August 22, assume that copping those new Yeezys off of eBay will still command a monster markup.

The German mega-tailor’s collabs have become the premier method of delivering high fashion to the masses, and this year’s joint with the renowned house of Balmain—and its fresh-faced designer, Olivier Rousteing—promises to be no exception. It remains to be seen how Balmain’s trademark couture detailing will fare in a fast-fashion translation, but what’s already a lock is the lines snaking around your local H&M, come November 5.

There is perhaps no bigger name than the all-encompassing figurehead of the fashion zeitgeist, Rick Owens, at the moment. Everything the man touches is moody, jet-black gold, which makes his latest collection for adidas—with its sky-high boots, and pony hair on that unmistakable Runner sole—a forgone hit for when it arrives in July.

Unlike some other huge fashion retailers, Uniqlo comes with its own particular esthetic already in tow. So when seeking out partners, it’s not so much about copying couture as it is finding the right two-way fit. The likes of Jil Sander and Alexandre Plokhov have complemented the brand’s minimalist sense of easy living in the past, and this fall’s latest with Christophe Lemaire, the former creative director of Hermès, promises more of the same. “Creative, comfortable everyday garments” is the stated aim, coming at a price point to put similarly aimed options to shame.

What does Supreme have in store for the rest of 2015? It's looking like a Jordan collaboration is almost certain. Anything graced with that red box logo has kids lined up around the block and sells out without hesitation, but this is unprecedented. We've been speculating about the potential collaboration for at least a year and images that may or may not be fake finally surfaced last week. While official release details and photos are pending, we took the liberty of imagining what the drop might look like this morning, with a little help from Photoshop.
