UPDATED 8/12, 1 a.m. ET: After the teaser earlier this month, the release date for the new McDonald's x Palace collaboration 'As Featured In' meal has now been confirmed. A post shared by the fast-food chain earlier this week stated, 'The 'As Featured In' meal premieres on 8.14,' as tweeted on August 9 from the restaurant's official page. According to CNBC, Palace will host a pop-up shop for the merchandise on August 18 in Dover, California, allowing shoppers to purchase the branded clothing.

Alongside McDonald's tweet confirming the collaboration, Palace's Instagram account also shared a post promoting the McDonald's x Palace partnership. The post features a graphic showcasing both the fast-food chain's logo and the skate brand's logo together.

Last year, McDonald's released an adult-focused Happy Meal—The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box—as part of its collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market. The meal included a bevy of toys: Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and Cactus Buddy, the apparel brand’s mascot.

In 2020, McDonald's famously collaborated with Travis Scott for a meal consisting of a Quarter Pounder burger with cheese, bacon, shredded lettuce, a Sprite soda, and fries with BBQ sauce.

The streetwear staple put up a cryptic billboard above the Times Square McDonald's. Penned in Palace's trademark bulleted product description/social media caption style, it reads:

  • "BASICALLY IF I DO ENOUGH
  • DESCRIPTIONS ABOUT
  • MCDONALD'S I RECKON I CAN
  • EXPENSE BURGERS
  • THEN MY LIFE'S COMPLETE"

McDonald's cribbed the same format in the comments, ultimately writing "will that complete your order."

Details on the launch remain unknown, though an Aug. 14 date is teased. In addition to the billboard, McDonald's posted an even more mysterious teaser for the collab.

The video features an older TV flipping through nostalgic cult favorites referencing the chain, including Seinfeld, The Office, The Fifth Element, and Coming to America. There's also a blink-and-miss it Loki Season 2 inclusion, confirmed in the fine print and the comments section.

Stay tuned for more info on the secretive partnership.

For some of its latest collabs, Palace Skateboards has worked with WWE, Oakley, Avirex, Champion, and Crocs.
