Stone Island has returned with the latest instalment of its ongoing Shadow Project, launching the first chapter of its Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

For this release, the Italian imprint celebrates both the truthfulness that lies within values of tradition and the willingness to innovate and ability to venture into unchartered territories.

Continuing its investigation into traditional menswear archetypes, this season, Stone Island hones in on a impressive selection of rough-but-comfortable materials for the first chapter of the forthcoming line up. Boasting an electric offering of knitwear, jersey pieces and outerwear, the industrial range highlights the label’s penchant for functionality, with parkas constructed from glass-like cotton poplin with corrodible dyes, Fair Isle knitwear and dyed cargo pants treated with stretch nylon cotton garbardine.

Taking inspiration from the from real-life scenarios and the behavioural patterns of its wearers, the two part collection offers a host of new colours and shades presented through various head-to-toe looks. Characterised by earth-like tones, the first chapter studies shades of greens, in an attempt to showcase the unique details of each garment, stretching from “Vivid Emerald”, “Golden Moss” to “Petrol”, while the second instalment is served in a predominantly red colour palette, with notes of “Rustic Orange” and Warm Berry”.
