Burberry has followed up its recent Supreme collaboration by teaming up with Pop Trading Company for a collection of signature skate-inspired goods.

Described as “a celebration of a shared connection to community and the outdoors,” the capsule looks to the Japanese skating scene, where skating is restricted during the day and comes alive at night. Designed to spotlight the two brands’ love of movement and creative exploration, the capsule replaces Burberry’s signature shades of beige and “Birch Brown” with a solid colour palette of grey, black and red.

The collection marks the debut of the new blurred Check on technical parkas, zipped jackets, silk shirts and cotton cargo trousers, as well as on a crossbody bag, tote and bucket hat. Classic car coats take centre stage and are reworked with a reflective Check, while its epochal Icon stripe has been transformed into a jacquard-woven print on both a cardigan and knitted across a deep mulberry hoodie.

Elsewhere, the offering encompasses a range of oversized T-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps and a blanket complete with playful dual-branded motifs. Arguably, the highlight is Burberry’s coordinates print, which has been updated to house the location of the British label’s Horseferry House headquarters as well the Pop’s flagship store and can be found on both the apparel and a jacquard-woven scarf.

Rounded out with a pair of leather loafers the collection will be available to cop via select Burberry stores and on both the Burberry webstore and Pop Trading Company webstore from June 15.
