Copenhagen-based menswear label Les Deux has revealed a new drop for Spring 2024, featuring practical workwear-inspired pieces, retro layers and simple street styles in a dusty desert colour scheme.
The new drop draws inspiration from the short story depicting a group of friends reuniting for a road trip along Route 66. Leading the range are durable twill overshirts, cadenim layers and cargo pants in shades of “Terracotta” and “Dusty Khaki”, as well as minimalistic jersey partnered with ‘90s-inspired prints and more unusual pieces like baseball jerseys.
The brand’s exploration of texture continues this season, with soft bouclé, luxurious merino, durable twill and shaggy, long-haired suede footwear just some of the tactile pieces appearing in the range. Workwear-inspired styles also appear prominently across the line, juxtaposed with intricate and detailed patterns from yesteryear.
“We drew a lot of inspiration from practical, functional styles for The Journey, things like khaki twill overshirts, sandy canvas jackets, and denim,” explains creative director Mathias H. Jensen in a press release. “We always look for contrast in our collections—a nod to our origin story—and we settled on watercolor style artwork prints and paisley, with its bohemian heritage and delicate pattern. It’s not just a different vibe, it’s a completely different history than some of the more utilitarian pieces in the range.”
