London-based imprint Aries has continued its ongoing collaboration with New Balance, partnering with the footwear label to introduce a vibrant Fresh Foam 1080v11 running silhouette. For this capsule, the pair have honed in on New Balance’s running expertise and reimagined it through Aries’ signature lens.
Arriving in a black and red colourway, along with fluorescent yellow and green accent details, the collaborative 1080v11 sneaker has been designed to provide the feeling of luxurious comfort during a long-distance run. The standout feature of the sneaker is the “NB-AA” logo, which graces the medial side of each shoe.
Alongside the footwear, Aries and New Balance have also come together for a range of apparel featuring collaborative graphics. Items include classic running gear and iconic Aries jersey sweatsuits which are readied in the aforementioned colour palette.
Shot by the British fashion photographer David Sims, the campaign film, entitled Unbalanced, focuses on the concept of asymmetry to challenge the idea of perfection and winning as the main objective in sports, rather than imperfection and the importance of personal achievement.
The Aries x New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11 will be available to cop exclusively at www.ariesarise.com on March 30. A global release will follow a day later on via the New Balance webstore.
