We won’t make another joke about Jaden Smith’s questionable style choices—because, frankly, they’ve all been made before. Whether he’s rocking an Iron Man costume to lunch dates or wearing pieces copped from the women’s section, Jaden is constantly courting attention for the way he dresses. And apparently, Will Smith isn’t always down with his son’s sartorial decisions.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Will touches on “the biggest fashion issue” he’s had with Jaden: the Batman costume he wore to prom earlier this year. Remember that? Of course you do; it was the same ‘fit he rocked to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding back in 2014.
“The night before we get an emergency call from [his date’s] father: ‘My daughter has just found out that Jaden is wearing a Batman suit to the prom’,” Will explained. “So we talked to Jaden, and he agreed to wear a tie with the Batman suit. So, I blame his mother.”
