Art and Sports Collide Like Never Before in the 10th Issue of 'Victory Journal'

Since its inception in 2010, Victory Journal has served as a unique vehicle for sports-related content—taking original, untold stories within the industry and pairing them with incredible imagery. For its Winter 2015 issue, titled "Arts & Letters," the magazine really emphasized this formula by tackling one single question: What happens when sport and art intersect?

The result is a beautiful portrait of athleticism that goes way beyond conventional sports reporting. There’s “The Loser,” an in-depth feature that takes a look at boxer's decline; a photography essay on the 2015 U.S. Open match featuring sisters Serena and Venus Williams; and a fascinating story on Bonnie Erickson, a former costume designer for The Muppet Show who later made a name for herself in the mascot business.

Art and photography contributors include names like Cheryl Dunn, Raymond Pettibon, John Ahearn, and Justin Lane, who each present a distinct style that really highlights the offbeat spirit of Victory Journal.
