Even if you didn't get a Samsung phone (we see you Killer Mike), today's the day that Jay-Z drops his latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The 16-track album shows that the Brooklyn rapper remains in top form, dropping some amazing lines referencing everything from blue chip artists to Miley Cyrus twerking. And of course, there are more than a few fashionable lyrics too.
As can be expected, Jay not only asserts his wealth, but also shills for himself—talking about his D'USSE cognac, for instance. But there's a smattering of designer call-outs and references to expensive watches and buzzed-about streetwear brands. Unlike Kanye West's decidedly anti-consumerist Yeezus, this album exhibits that Jay is still a business, man. Ranked in order from least luxurious to most luxurious, check out Name Brands: Jay-Z's Style Shout-Outs from Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Stance Socks
Song: F.U.T.W.
Lyric: This ain't grey sweat suits and white tube socks / This is black leather pants and a pair of Stance socks
The most surprising call-out on the album, Jay-Z references one of our best men's brands of 2013 so far. He even Instagrammed himself rocking a pair of the brand's Snapshot Socks with LeBron sneakers.
Fila
Song: BBC
Lyric: Fila sweats / '88 I rocked a mock neck - Nas
Nas gives love to some brands that were dope back in the day. Not that he stopped wearing them though. Remember the custom velour suit he made with Fila in 2008?
Reebok
Song: FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt
Lyric: Reeboks on, I just do it, nigga - Rick Ross
It's ironic that Rick Ross would shout out the sneaker label that recently dropped him over controversial lyrics, but perhaps it's a veiled ether since he follows it up with Nike's trademark slogan.
adidas
Song: BBC
Lyric: Unlaced Adidas - Nas
Nas takes it back with a reference to the way Run DMC wore their shelltoe adidas: sans laces.
Nike
Song: Oceans
Lyric: Swoosh, now that's the sound of a baller
Jay gives a shout to Nike's iconic logo, and the NBA players who are endorsed by it—like LeBron James, whose signature kicks have found their way on the rapper's feet every now and then.
Jordan Brand
Song: F.U.T.W.
Lyric: Jordan 1s and dungarees
Song: Somewhereinamerica
Lyric: Retro act / I'm just bringing it back / Like Jordan Packs
Everyone knows Jay-Z's sneaker game is on point, from Banneds to Black Toes and Black and Royals, he's even been scolded by PETA for his custom kicks made from exotic animal skins.
Ray-Ban
Song: Part II (On The Run)
Lyric: Ray-Bans on, police in sight
Obviously Jay-Z needs something to block his own shine from blinding him.
Billionaire Boys Club
Song: BBC
Lyric: Song Title
The song's title takes its name from Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club label, of which Jay-Z is a partner.
Been Trill
Song: Somewhereinamerica
Lyric: This ain't no snap back / a nigga been trill
The Been Trill brand is more associated with Kanye West's camp since guys like Matthew Williams and Virgil Abloh work closely with West, but obviously they're also on Jay-Z's radar.
MCM
Song: BBC
Lyric: MCM seats buck 50 stitch
German luxury brand MCM is known for its prints, which it puts all over jackets, sneakers, and accessories like backpacks and purses. If Jay has the dough to spend on custom seats, more power to him.
Polo
Song: BBC
Lyric: To the Polo fleece to the bombers - Pharrell
"BBC" pays homage to dressinng like a drug dealer—guys who were often the pinnacle of style since they had tons of cash to spare. Polo fleece and bomber jackets weren't just dope, they kept guys warm while working the block.
Bally
Song: BBC
Lyric: Bally shoes, Gucci sneakers - Nas
Nas keeps the stroll down memory lane going with a reference to Bally shoes, which were popular in the '80s among rappers like Slick Rick.
Gucci
Song: BBC
Lyric: Bally shoes, Gucci sneakers - Nas
Nas is a true sneakerhead, Gucci sneakers like the Tennis 84s are considered a grail item among collectors.
Hermés
Song: Oceans
Lyric: Boat dock in front of Hermés picking cotton
Song: BBC
Lyric: Eiffel Tower, Hermés towel - Nas
Jay-Z and Nas reference the storied French brand. Jay has dropped serious dough at the store: around $350,000 during Christmas in 2010.
Versace
Song: BBC
Lyric: Versace plates / got the Basquiat collab from Versace's place
Song: BBC
Lyric: R.I.P. to Gianni - Pharrell
While not as catchy as Drake and Migos' hit song, it's clear that the Italian fashion label is still held in high regard by Jay-Z. He even attended a few of the design house's fashion shows, and has rubbed elbows with head of house Donatella Versace, the sister of late founder Gianni Versace. The Basquiat collab he mentions? Jay copped a painting from Gianni Versace's personal art collection.
Givenchy
Song: Picasso Baby
Lyric: Riccardo Tisci Givenchy clothes
This shout-out shouldn't surprise anyone. After all, Tisci kitted out Jay-Z and Kanye West in custom outfits for the Watch the Throne tour.
Tom Ford
Song: Tom Ford
Lyric: I don't pop molly, I rock Tom Ford
Song: Tom Ford
Lyric: Tom Ford, Tom Ford, Tom Ford
In case you were keeping track, Jay-Z says "Tom Ford" 14 times in the duration of this song. One of the best menswear designers out right now, the rapper's been spotted rocking one of his suits at the premiere of The Great Gatsby.
Hublot
Song: Picasso Baby
Lyric: I'm still the man to watch / Hublot On my left hand or not
Song: Nickels and Dimes

Kanye said it best: "He Instagram his watch like 'mad rich alert!'"
The Met Gala and Vogue Magazine

Anywhere from $10,000-$15,000. Former Vogue Editor-in-Chief has been closely tied to the event, with magazine staffers involved in many aspects as well.
