movember

If you aren't aware, the month of November has become colloquially known as Movember for men everywhere. The Movember movement encourages men of all sorts to grow and groom a mustache all month long in order to raise awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health issues.

Of course, charity efforts like this are greatly helped by celebrity endorsements. Hollywood's already got plenty of awesome mustaches, with one of the most prominent being Nick Offerman's Ron Swanson character from Parks & Recreation. We have an idea of a couple of famous folks who should hop on this bandwagon to not only show their support for the cause, but give their images a well-needed overhaul. Here are 10 Celebrities Who Should Grow Mustaches for Movember.

andersoncooper

Anderson Cooper

Anderson Cooper is the news anchor that everyone feels a certain rapport with; he's pretty much the real-life version of Ron Burgundy. In addition to charisma and a stockpile of Sex Panther cologne, you know what else Ron Burgundy had? An awesome 'stache. News anchor mustaches: 50% of the time, they work every time.

sanchez

Mark Sanchez

The young New York Jets quarterback is facing intense scrutiny this season. His critics are divided as to whether the team's losses can be attributed to bad plays on his end or an abymal effort from the defense. One way to unite them all in his favor? Facial hair. He's done it before, and been the punchline of numerous "Dirty Sanchez" jokes. What we think he should really bring back is his Joe Namath trucker-style tribute 'stache of March 2010. Combine that nostalgic look with a string of great games, and we'd say the naysayers would be all but squelched.

kermit

Kermit The Frog

With a new Muppets movie on the way, a different look could help Kermit's star rise again. Besides, he's been around long enough that some well-kempt facial hair wouldn't be that big of a deal, right? Think about it, he's posed in ads for Supreme, has a hit single to his name, and was an O.G. Sesame Street character. He's earned the right to wear whatever the hell he wants. Sure, it ain't easy being green, but it ain't easy being groomed either.

weezy

Lil Wayne

Weezy caught a lot of flack for rocking women's jeggings at this year's VMAs. Despite his album's success and some tight verses on fellow YMCMB member Drake's highly-anticipated Take Care, some crazy facial hair would help re-cement Lil Wayne's status as an off-the-wall "martian."

obama

Barack Obama

In uncertain times, it helps to have a clear image of authority. Nothing says that more than an amazing mustache. If the President were to grow one, not only would he show that he's trying to raise awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health -related issues, but he'll also join the ranks of other mustachioed presidents like William Taft, Grover Cleveland, and Mt. Rushmore face Teddy Roosevelt. I mean, he's already the first black president, might as well claim the title of first black president with a mustache right? That's a change we can all believe in.

minaj

Nicki Minaj

We've seen some crazy outfits from Ms. Minaj in the past, so a pink mustache for Movember wouldn't be too far-fetched. She's already proven time and again that she can hang with the boys on even the most hard-hitting songs, like the Kanye West track "Monster." Pink wig and thick ass? Only if the wig is on her upper lip.

guccimane

Gucci Mane

After the whole "ice cream face tattoo" debacle, a great mustache could help class up his image. Emphasis on could. Chances are pretty good that he may just get a mustache tattoo on his face, which is more hardcore than the mustache tattoos inked on the index fingers of cheeky hipsters everywhere. A mustache facial tattoo? Just thinking about it is enough to make us go "Brrr...."

lautner

Taylor Lautner

Lately Taylor's been trying to break away from his Twilight roots by starring in more action-oriented thrillers like his recent film, Abduction. While the reviews on that were decent, it made a killing at the box office, showing the young actor has potential as a draw. With the Twililght series wrapping up, Lautner's action-star status would be behooved by an awesome mustache. It's the perfect way to shed that teen image and channel classic badasses like Chuck Norris and Charles Bronson.

JayZ

Jay-Z

Dude is about to be a dad, and what better way to welcome fatherhood than with a manly dad-stache? And believe it or not, the topic of whether or not Hov is capable of proper facial hair has been hotly-debated on hip-hop forums. Even Richmond, VA rapper Skillz chimed in during his 2011 BET Awards cypher with the line "y’all never came in like Jay-Z’s mustache." Only one way to really prove them wrong, Jay: bring 'em out, it ain't hard to yell with a dope 'stache on your mouth.

bieber

Justin Bieber

Justin turns 18 next year. What more evident way to prove he's finally become a man? A really great mustache could also further his rap career, as it'd give him that little bit of extra swagger he needs. Either that, or he could join the ranks of mustachioed crooners like John Oates and Freddie Mercury. Also, it's highly likely that Bieber Fever would be replaced with the even more contagious Mustache Madness.
