New York Fashion Week is in full effect, which means we're seeing all sorts of advertisements for Fall collections arriving in stores while designers and brands are already previewing their selections for next Spring. We got so inundated with clothing commercials that we decided to dig up some of our favorites from the past couple of years.

Calvin Klein: Banned Ads
This controversial series of ads depict male and female models being creepily interviewed by a guy who probably has a gross mustache. They were later parodied in the Twin Shadow music video "Slow."
Gap: Daft Punk and Juliette Lewis
Gap's commercials have always been particularly strong, especially in their late 90s heyday. During the early 2000s they had a some commercials featuring celebrities like Will Ferrell, but this unusual pairing of Daft Punk and Juliette Lewis takes the cake.
Viktor & Rolf for H&M
The fashion house of Viktor & Rolf gets weird in this commercial for their capsule collection for H&M. No, you're not seeing double, the whole twin theme carries out throughout the commercial and it's very Twin Peaks meets The Addams Family.
Uniqlo: Dancers
Uniqlo put out this great commercial featuring Japanese dance crew umin popping and locking for four minutes. We guarantee you will probably rewatch this thing a couple of times.
Oliver Peoples: Devendra Banhart and Rebecca Schwartz
Eyewear company Oliver Peoples commissioned artist Lisa Eisner to direct this short featuring crooner Devendra Banhart and his drop-dead gorgeous ladyfriend Rebecca Schwartz. The natural chemistry between the two is definitely felt throughout the video.
Lanvin: Pitbull Dance Party
For their Fall 2011 campaign, French fashion house Lanvin pumps out the jams — Pitbull's "I Know You Want Me," to be exact. Depicting a great contrast between luxury and irreverence, the best bit is the very end when Lanvin Creative Director Alber Elbaz makes an appearance and tears up the floor.
Tommy Hilfiger: Meet The Hilfigers
A campaign started last year, The Hilfigers sought to re-establish Tommy Hilfiger as a brand affiliated with rebel prep. The off-kilter, Wes Anderson-inspired aesthetic, Vampire Weekend soundtrack, and quirky styling made sure this commercial did just that.
Levi's: Gael Garcia Bernal
Levi's commercials have always melded ruggedness, sexiness, and a little bit of fun. This one with actor Gael Garcia Bernal is one of our favorites. Air's "Playground Love" complements the commercial's mysterious nature perfectly, and we can't fault Mr. Bernal for looking good in a pair of low-rise jeans.
Gant By Michael Bastian: A Love Story
When designer Michael Bastian decided to delve into womenswear with his second collection for Gant, he did it in a smart way: conceptualising his ideal girl as the type of woman the Michael Bastian guy would date. This concept became real in this short film, based on the movie Love Story. The collection was based on the old flames of Marilyn Monroe, so it fit perfectly.
Gap: Mellow Yellow
When you talk about Gap ads, this is what most people remember. These iconic commercials from the 90s are forever ingrained into our heads, whether people were swing dancing or re-enacting West Side Story, but nothing comes close to this commercial. How many people had ever heard this song by Donovan before Gap thrust it into national prominence?
