Preview: "Ends Of The Earth: Land Art To 1974" At MOCA

This Sunday, May 27, 2012, marks the opening of Ends of the Earth: Land Art to 1974 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, which topped our 25 Must See Exhibitions of Summer 2012. Land art is a highly ignored and typically misunderstood genre of art, and as one can imagine, difficult to present in a museum setting. This is the first large-scale, historical-thematic exhibition to deal broadly with Land art, and approaches it from an international perspective.

For those in Los Angeles who are interested in learning more about the planning of the exhibition, you can attend an informational talk on Sunday, May 27 at 3pm with co-curators Philipp Kaiser and Miwon Kwon at MOCA.

The show runs from May 27, 2012 – September 3, 2012 at the MOCA's Geffen Contemporary (250 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, California).
