Celebrated tattoo artist Dr. Woo is shifting his creative focus in light of COVID-19.

"These are challenging times, but I want to do what I can," Dr. Woo said in a press release. "I know so many of my fellow artists, entrepreneurs, and all types of small business owners will be reeling from the impact of the coronavirus, but we have an opportunity to pull together and help those who need it most."

Dr. Woo was set to begin rolling out his PROJECTWOO lifestyle venture and namesake skincare brand WOO in the coming weeks, though he and his wife Jayme ultimately decided to pivot their attention to something that could help those most affected by the global pandemic.

WOO's Daily Gentle Soap will now see all profits donated to COVID-19 relief efforts. Visitors to ProjectWoo.co are given a selection of three possible price points ranging from $15 to $25. All net profits, per the press release, will be given to the Baby 2 Baby non-profit to assist in its efforts to provide help for families and children in poverty.

The Daily Gentle Soap was initially designed with the task of keeping skin clean and healthy following a tattoo session in mind, though Dr. Woo and his team now point to its ability to "perfectly address the basic and essential need of hand-washing" during COVID-19 containment efforts.
