The ruby nipple covers Cardi B wore on her Met Gala gown on Monday cost $250,000 each, Vogue reports.

Cardi arrived at the legendary red carpet event in a custom, feathered Thom Browne gown that included a structured bodice, bejeweled headpiece, feathered shoulders, sheer gloves, and jeweled nipple covers.

The jeweled pieces were created by international jewelry brand Stefere, per Vogue. “If I lose one of them, you know what I’m saying, I’m going to have to sell my Birkin bags,” she said while laughing.

“The inspiration behind it was feminism, you know this reflects the woman’s body. You’ve got your little boobies, vajayjay, and your―if you see my back, it’s like, booty.”

For the Met Gala’s “Notes on Camp” theme, Cardi said she and Browne came up with a look that’s “very elegant, extravagant, but not too Halloween-ish.” She continued, “Perfect look for me.”

In other Cardi B news, in April, the rapper rejected a plea deal in connection with a 2018 fight at a New York City strip club. She turned the deal down in court Friday and is due back in court this month. She was previously told by a judge to have no contact with sisters Jade and Baddie Gi, who alleged to have been targeted by Cardi's team in August at a club where Offset was performing. Sources close to Cardi have said the encounter was not premeditated.

The plea deal purportedly included the stipulation that Cardi plead guilty to a misdemeanor to receive a conditional discharge. This meant no jail time, though a requirement of staying out of additional trouble would have been put in place.
