NikeLab and Italian label Stone Island continue their ongoing collaboration, this time designing a new windrunner. The windrunner, Nike's first foray into athletic outerwear in 1979, uses two nylons called Hyper Light Membrana and Membrana 3L TC. In basic terms, that means the jacket repels wind and water. It's also packable. Like we said, perfect.
Both Nike and Stone Island are known for their technical innovations. Stone Island, specifically, is famous for combining military and workwear inspirations with advanced and original fabric treatments and dyeing techniques. Since it was founded in 1982 by Massimo Osti, the label has become a favorite for European guys and rappers like Drake and Travi$ Scott.
The new NikeLab x Stone Island windrunner will be available at select NikeLab's retailers and webshop, Stone Island's flagship stores and online, and the Stone Island App in North America starting Sept. 8. Don't sleep.
