Lil Wayne can't seem to catch a break. The rapper is already in the middle of a lawsuit regarding his status on Cash Money, is facing a lukewarm reception to the second installment of his "No Cielings" mixtape series, and recently had property seized to pay off a major debt. Now, he can tack on yet another lawsuit to his list of problems, this time from a woman who claims his brand Trukfit used her image without constent.
Shanise Taylor is suing Wayne over a shirt released by the brand earlier this year, which features a doctored photo of herself. According to an exclusive report from TMZ, Taylor claims that she is not a professional mode, but admits she knowingly posed for the shoot in question back in 2011. She says she was unaware that the photos would be used for anything related to Trukfit, and was surprised when she saw her photo on the shirt.
The original photo, obtained by TMZ, was doctored to make Taylor appear as if she was not wearing underwear, rocking only a Trukfit tank top. She says she was outraged by the retouching of the photo, and claimed she wants nothing to do with a brand selling "apparel associated with misogyny and violence."
Taylor is demanding the shirts stop being circulated, and is claiming an unspecified amount in damages as well. Wayne's camp has yet to comment on the issue. Take a look at the original and doctored photos below.
