At Fendi's new store opening at West 57th Street on Friday night, Rihanna was one of the many VIP guests in attendance—others included Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour, and Sofia Coppola. RiRi was there to release several Fendi Baguette purses she co-designed, the proceeds of which went to her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation.
The event, hosted on the 83rd floor of the posh new skyscraper One57, boasted killer views of Central Park and Midtown. The building was for sale, and not surprisingly, its asking price was just as astronomical as its height: $60 million.
When a New York Times reporter asked Rihanna what she thought about the building, she reportedly made a face and said, "The view is priceless. But I need the closet space."
But, Rihanna, that view.
The singer just firmly repeated, "There's no closet space," and that was the end of that discussion.
Personally, we wouldn't really mind living in a luxe skyscraper near Central Park, but perhaps when you're an international pop star and fashion icon you can afford to be a little bit pickier.
