Photographer and founder of The Flash Pack, Lee Thomson, got the opportunity to take the most epic #artselfie of all time when he convinced the Brazil tourist board to let him scale Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer statue with GoPro cameras.
While visiting Brazil to shoot the World Cup, Thomson climbed the rickety stairs inside the largest Art Deco statue in the world, and stood on its head to snap a selfie.
"As I popped my head out of the hole in Jesus’ crown, I was in total and utter awe as my eyes met with a vast panorama that quite literally took my breath away. Talk about a religious experience! I’ve never been afraid of heights or tight spaces, but experiencing acrophobia, claustrophobia and profound awe at the same time was something truly remarkable," Thomson wrote about the experience.
Thomson's epic photographs give the kid who took a selfie while running with bulls a run for his money. Check out the dizzying video below of his journey for the best selfie ever created.
