It Only Costs Six Cents to Drag Race a Tesla Model S (Video)

Pretty damn cheap.

Drag Times usually finds itself testing cars with big-ass V8s, but for once they're playing with something that doesn't touch any gasoline whatsoever: the Tesla Model S. It's not like it's lacking for horsepower either, at 416 horsepower. The electric sedan used all that power in order to  run a quarter mile in 12.4 seconds at 111.3 miles per hour; not bad for something that seats seven.

More astounding still is that at Florida's energy prices, it only cost six cents to run the Tesla on a strip. That is, without a doubt, the cheapest that any racing have ever cost.
