Fans Vote Mr. Met the Top Sports Mascot
That big head of his is about to get even bigger.

Everyone loves mascots. Well, everyone except for evil people the Yankees. Mascots bring much-needed fun to games and should be mandatory in sports like baseball where things can get dull sometimes (sorry, Bud). But which cartoonish team character is most beloved by sports fans? The Phillie Phanatic? Go the Gorilla (Phoenix Suns)? Pat Patriot? Nope, according to Marketing Arm's Davie-Brown Index, the top mascot of them all is Mr. Met. The baseball-headed fella received the most votes on a fan survey put out by the marketing firm. The survey did not include Canadian or college mascots.
Well, it's not like we didn't see this one coming.
