Charlie Woods hit his first career hole-in-one alongside his father, Tiger Woods, during the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida.
On Sunday, the younger Woods hit an ace that landed as a hole-in-one, and the 15-year-old appeared shocked that he did it in footage from the golf event. As the ball landed in the hole, the crowd cheered and celebrated the huge accomplishment while Woods walked to his dad and asked if it went in.
Tiger confirmed the hole-in-one and hugged his son, although he missed it going in. In a conversation with Golf Channel's Jim Mackay, the younger Woods said he couldn't believe he had made his first career hole-in-one.
"It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just kind of hit it," Charlie told Golf Channel's Jim Mackay. "Just 175, a little down off the left, little cut seven. It was awesome. I didn't think it went in. I don't believe anybody until I go up there and see it."
Charlie's ace came on the par-3 fourth hole and put his team in the lead at 17-under. Team Woods entered Sunday's final round in a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard with Team Singh (Vijah Singh and Qass Singh) and Team Langer (Bernhard Langer and Jason Langer).
The Woods duo is currently competing in the PNC Championship, in which families participate. This is the fifth time they've competed in the event, and Tiger's daughter Sam is rolling with her family, too, serving as her father's caddy.
