After Team Canada recorded a 100-89 win against Slovenia in the quarter-finals of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Dillon Brooks, who was ejected in the fourth quarter, waited for his teammates in the tunnel after the game with boxing gloves on.
After the game ended, the Sportsnet feed cut to Brooks waiting in the tunnel taking a few practice jabs before playfully switching to the incoming players.
After the team moved into the locker room, Brooks continued with his jabs, this time aiming them at Luguentz Dort who was trying to change out of his uniform.
Despite the ejection, Brooks enjoyed a solid game putting 14 points on 5-7 shooting, three rebounds, and three assists.
Following Team Canada's victory against the Luka Dončić-led Slovenian team, the national squad will face off against Serbia on Friday, September 8 at 4:45 a.m.
Canada has already clinched their first trip to the Olympics in men's basketball since 2000.
