This basketball season keeps on getting tougher and tougher for Derek Fisher. The New York Knicks head coach, already at the helm of the worst team in basketball, is also having difficulties in his personal life. According to court documents filed in L.A., Fisher has moved for a divorce from his wife, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple's anniversary had recently passed in February.
Candice Fisher, his wife of 10 years, has a pair of twins with him. The split looks to be amicable, as Fisher's offered to split the legal costs, and is asking for joint custody of the twins.
"This is a difficult time for me personally," he said in a statement. "For the sake of our children, I ask that everyone respects our privacy during this process."
