Quaydarius Davis' Ex Addresses Brutal Assault Video: ’Domestic Violence Is Never Okay’

The woman, Ja'Yunna Monae, says she will not be "going back" to the Southern Jaguars player.

Southern University athlete Quaydarius Davis allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Ja'Yunna Monae, as seen in footage that went viral on Saturday (April 12).

In the clip, which allegedly showed the aftermath of Monae breaking up with Darius, was recorded outside of the woman's apartment. The man, who's alleged to be Davis, is seen choking the woman before her body goes limp and is tossed to the ground before he walks upstairs.

On Saturday morning, Monae addressed the clip, saying that she wouldn't be reconciling with the Southern Jaguars player. "I’m ok , my downstairs neighbors gots cameras , my upstairs neighbors got cameras pointed directly towards my door," she wrote on social media. "Everything is captured… I called the police ,my neighbors called the police ..I will be pressing charges , and NO I AM NOT GOING BACK . I’m the one who initiated the break up cause so many red flags were occurring ."

Monae also posted the video to Instagram the day before, writing, "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS NEVER OK ."

"This man choked me until I passed out and peed on myself," she continued. "He kicked my door down , punched me numerous times all because I didn’t wanna be with him anymore ."

The woman also alleged by that Davis assaulted the mother of his child, which landed her in the hospital. Davis hasn't issued a statement on the allegations, but the football player has gotten strong reactions to the video on Instagram. Beneath one post, one Instagram user told Davis that he's "cooked," and another declared that "Jail has a warm spot just for you!!"
