Interscope Geffen A&M is sponsoring a Dyckman basketball summer tournament team in a first-of-its-kind partnership to uplift the historic league.
IGA announced on Friday that it will connect with Dyckman’s Ave Life summer league team this year and host different events throughout the tournament’s six-week schedule. It also teased that some of the artists on Interscope roster will show up at games for surprise events.
The news director of Dyckman Basketball, Naya Stevens, noted how Dyckman hoops have stood at the intersection of sports and music.
“At the intersection of Hip Hop & Basketball—Dyckman Basketball & Interscope Geffen A&M teaming up might be one of the most influential moments of summer 2022,” she said. “We look forward to an amazing summer with the label.”
