On Monday evening, Kurt Angle announced that he would team up with Ronda Rousey to fight Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at next month's WrestleMania 34. As you can see, the crowd went nuts:
Previously, MMA Fighting's Dave Meltzer had stated that WWE had been trying to get The Rock to team up with Rousey against McMahon and Triple H, so one could logically assume this is the consolation. As pointed out by Bleacher Report, the WWE set the stage for Angle and Rousey's alliance after Angle told her at Elimination Chamber that she was only signed to the promotion so McMahon and Triple H could get back at her for embarrassing them three years ago at WrestleMania 31:
A day later, Angle copped to lying and McMahon apologized for slapping her at the event, but Triple H eschewed diplomacy to sucker punch Angle before leaving the ring:
Now it's official. Rousey will appear on the next four Raws before they face off at WrestleMania 34, which will take place on Sunday, April 8 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
