Drake's son Adonis Graham dropped his first track yesterday with "My Man Freestyle," and in addition to his old man appearing in the clip, Toronto Raptors rookie Gradey Dick also makes a guest spot.
Dick shows up at the postgame press conference portion of the video with Adonis and Drake. He showed off the new collaboration on his Instagram stories, first with a "don't talk" emoji befitting the song's lyrics, then an owl with a heart hand-shape emoji as a sign of gratitude to the OVO camp.
Dick told local media the entire cameo happened by chance when he arrived at the OVO Athletic Centre. “It was so random that no one really knew what was happening,” Dick said.
The Raptors first round draft pick from 2023 has already made a splash in his new city. On draft night, he got everyone, including Fat Joe, talking about his red suit.
He also secured an all-important Drake follow on Instagram that night.
As for Drizzy, he's been busy after his hometown Toronto shows. He said he was planning to take a year off due to health issues, so perhaps in addition to collaborating with his OVO colleagues, he might spend more time pushing his son's new rap career.
Dick and the Toronto Raptors kick off their regular season Oct. 25 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
